Biocommerce products with greater tendency and potential in the Latin American market

The objective of the article was to analyze the opportunities of the products with greater interest in the field of biotrade, which have greater acceptance in the international market and the notions of bioeconomy and biocommerce. For the South American region, biotrade shows significant successful experiences, which include the placement of native products in international food markets, cosmetic industry, pharmaceuticals, timber species among others. We propose that biotrade is an option for green growth, which generates the need to work on the issue at different levels: in the proposals that are presented in international forums, in the assessment of biodiversity and the systematization of successful experiences, and as a component of development strategies in countries such as the Andeans.
